The HypnoBirthing Childbirth method is as much a philosophy of birth as it is a technique for achieving a satisfying, relaxing, and stress-free method of birthing.HypnoBirthing teaches you, along with your birthing companion, the art and joy of experiencing birth in a more comfortable manner.You will learn to call upon your body’s own natural relaxant and thus lessen or eliminate discomfort and the need for medication.When a woman is properly prepared for childbirth and when mind and body are in harmony, nature is free to function in the same will-designed manner that it does with all other creatures.
You will be fascinated as you view HypnoBirthing films showing laboring mothers, awake, alert and in good humour as they experience the kind of gentle birth that you, too, can know when you are free of the Fear-Tension-Pain Syndrome.
HypnoBirthing teaches you to release all prior programming about birth, how to trust your body and work with it, as well as how to free yourself of harmful emotions that lead to pain-causing fear and unyielding muscles.
HypnoBirthingwill teach you the art of using your own natural birthing instincts.With HypnoBirthing, you will be aware and fully in control, but profoundly relaxed.
“I love the philosophy; I love the instructor’s teaching manner.Thanks to HypnoBirthing and the support I received, my baby’s birth was wonderful.I was confident and free of fear.”

About Hypnosis
A simple explanation of how the mind (and hypnosis) works;
Think of our minds as like computers, and our subconscious mind is like the operating system. A computer can only do what the O/S tells it to do - what it is programmed to do.
Our s/c mind is where all of our beliefs reside, and our beliefs are like computer programs. Once a belief is established, the s/c mind will do whatever it takes to prove that it's true.
We have what's called a critical factor, and it's like a wall (or firewall) between the conscious and s/c mind, and it protects the s/c and its beliefs. It would be very confusing if our beliefs changed every time new info was introduced, so the critical factor compares new info against currently held beliefs, and if they're too radical or different, it simply rejects them. That is why it can be nearly impossible to change negative behaviour with willpower alone - the belief that created the behaviour must be changed before we can begin acting in new, more positive ways.
Doing hypnosis allows us to bypass the critical factor, so we can directly access the s/c mind and reprogram the negative or false beliefs into positive beliefs.
This reprogramming effect is a major strength of the HypnoBirthing programme. Just learning to relax deeply has a huge effect on the woman's experience of birth, but reprogramming her subconscious mind to expect an easy, joyful birth, and to release fear has a profoundly beneficial effect on her experience.
